Disneyland - Part 2 (warning: picture overload)

With Amber on the ground in LA, figuring out how and when to surprise Lindsie was a lot easier than it would have been otherwise. Amber told Lindsie she and Matt would like to meet them in Downtown Disney and treat them to dinner Sunday (Feb. 21st) evening. Amazingly we were able to get a reservation for all 31 of us at Tortilla Joe's. When we arrived in Anaheim that day it was pouring rain. We walked from our hotel...Wait! Did I mention that we were all able to get rooms in the same hotel as the McDaniels? In fact, my family landed an adjoining room with the McD's! So, we walked from our hotel into Downtown Disney and huddled outside in the rain waiting for the McD's to come into view. I don't know when I've been so excited. I mean, Disneyland is really fun and magical, but I was really only excited to see the look on Lindsie's face when she saw us all there. And boy, she did not disappoint.

I really don't know how to sum up the magic of Disneyland with #friendslikefamily in a blog post, so I think a few pictures of our time there will have to do the talking for me. I can say that as the week went on I think we each felt the heaviness of the previous week begin to dissipate so that by the time we arrived home we really did feel lighter, happier, and ready to take on whatever came next. Dr. Getz was right. It was just what we needed.
